Success of automated elections crucial to economy in 2010

Certainly, the hoards of middlemen and brokers of industry of “winning at all costs” certainly don’t want automated elections to succeed because there is no way to manipulate the results. You can manipulate the voters, for sure, but that would be a costlier enterprise than just waiting for the ballots to arrive at the canvassing centers and doing their magic in the comfort of a hotel. Money won’t change hands for an assured win at the polls, or at least, not as much.

Kris Aquino VS. Willie Revillame as the best political endorser

Will Kris Aquino’s endorsement of her brother Noynoy win more votes than Willie Revillame’s endorsement of Manny Villar?  Would average pedicab drivers follow Kris’ sing-song advice to vote for her brother or would they prefer to be goaded by Willie to vote for Villar?

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo seeks congressional seat in Pampangga

Gaya ng alam ninyo, hiniling rin ako ng mga mamayan ng aking tahanang distrito sa Pampanga na manatili sa buhay publiko. After much soul-searching, I have decided to respond affirmatively to their call. To that end, I will file my (certificate of) candidacy for Congress in order to serve the hardworking people of my home province.
